Lyocell is a form of rayon which consists of cellulose fibre made from dissolving pulp (bleached wood pulp) using dry jet-wet spinning. It was developed to produce a sustainable fabric from renewable resources.

5.Spinning: The clean solution is then pushed through spinnerets, which resemble showerheads with numerous tiny holes. As the solution is extruded through the holes, it enters a coagulation bath where the cellulose regenerates into solid fibers as the solvent is removed. This step is known as dry jet-wet spinning.
6.Washing and Drying: The fibers are washed with water to remove any remaining solvent, which is then recycled back into the process. After washing, the fibers are dried.
7.Carding and Spinning into Yarn: The dry fibers are carded, a process that aligns them in preparation for spinning into yarn.
8.Finishing: The yarn is then ready to be woven or knitted into Lyocell fabric. Finishing treatments may be applied depending on the desired fabric characteristics, such as softness, drape, or dyeing.
